What If She Doesn’t Like Me?

by | Love and Romance

May 15, 2022

It feels awful if someone doesn’t like you, and you’re probably feeling sad about the thought of it now. While it is only normal that you want to be liked, it is best to accept that you can’t get on with everyone. Eventually, you’ll be able to move on with or without her and find someone who will like you just right.

Why Does it Matter?

You’re thinking too much, and it isn’t good for you.

What Would You Do?

Craig finds himself getting even more and more attached to Judith. Days ago, he bought her a small rose.

He had expected her to be happy about it, to scream as she usually does whenever she’s happy, and wrap him in a hug. But she did not. She only took the rose and smiled a half-smile that did not expose more than four of her teeth.

That wasn’t the first time something like that happened. The first time, he told her a story about his day, expecting her to laugh and giggle and show interest. But she did not.

Craig feels terrible. He feels confused. Sometimes, Judith is hot: she shows him a lot of affection. Like that time, she paid for his lunch and kissed his cheek. And other times, she is cold.

Does she not like him?

If you were Craig, what would you do?

Accept Yourself

Accepting yourself is one of the best things that can happen to a person.

Realize that, whether she likes you or not, you’re an amazing person. At your best, you make this world a great place.

Think about all the people who smile when you talk, about the happiness you bring those close to you.

You’re a great person. Work on your weaknesses if you have identified any. Accepting yourself is accepting your mistakes too.

Be nicer to people.

If you really observe, it becomes easy to tell whether a person likes you or not.

It may be hard to tell, to even observe, if you’re anxious. So, try not to be anxious.

Think about how often she reaches out to you if she ever does this.

When you text, are her replies fast or slow?

When you ask to meet her, does she make excuses and turn you down, or does she agree to spend time with you?

People love to spend time with people they love.

If she isn’t fine with spending time with you, then she most likely doesn’t like you very much.

People also talk to people they find safe to be around. If she doesn’t talk to you about little things like her day and all, she probably doesn’t like you much.

Accept It

She may like you, and she may not. Whatever is the case, accept it.

Think about what it’ll mean if she doesn’t like you, the effect it will have on you, and accept it.

What’s the worst that could happen, anyway?

Ask Her

You can’t exactly be sure if she likes you or not until you ask.

Use humor, and try to hear from her what she feels about you.

Action Plan

How do I accept myself? How do I learn to accept the outcome of things I can’t control?
