7 Qualities All Strong Women Have In Common

by | Ideas

Sep 1, 2022

Some qualities all strong women have in common include high self-esteem, a positive outlook toward life, resilience, decisive, and independence. Other characteristics they have in common include level-headedness and empathy.

When a woman is mentioned to be strong, most people usually picture someone tough, unyielding, and always in control. But there’s more to being strong than that.

The strength of a woman doesn’t always have to be physical, even though strength has three essential components: emotional, physical, and mental strength. All strong women possess these three types of strength in abundance, but it manifests in different ways for different women.

Resilience, compassion, courage, and self-self-awareness are some of the attributes that set strong women apart from the rest. If you’re looking to tap into your inner strength, or have always wondered what it means to be a strong woman, read on.

Here are 10 qualities that all strong women have in common.

1. Strong Women Have High Self-Esteem

Knowing one’s worth and not feeling afraid to show it is a sign of being a strong woman.

Being able to know what you’re capable of, even when people tell you that you are not good enough, is an admirable trait all strong women have in common.

Strong women don’t put up with negativity. If someone tries to put her down, she’ll gladly make them see why their opinions do not count, especially when it comes to her self-worth.

2. Strong Women Have Positive Outlook Toward Life

When you have a positive disposition, you are well on your way to being a strong woman. You know that no matter what life throws your way, you’ll be able to handle it.

Tenacious women have a way of seeing the silver lining in every situation. They are fighters who don’t give up easily.

3. Strong Women Are Resilient

Everybody has a story to tell, and that does not exclude women. A strong woman is someone who has been knocked down one too many times but always finds a way to get back up.

Giving up easily is not an option, and they are never afraid of a little hard work. In fact, they thrive in difficult situations. They know that when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Being resilient is one of the many qualities that strong women possess and have in common.

4. Strong Women Are Decisive

Another quality that makes strong women is knowing what they want and sticking with it.

Lots of women are known to be fickle-minded, always changing their decisions based on their feelings or the influence of outside forces. This does not apply to a strong woman, though. They are always moving forward and taking action. They do not let any obstacle get in the way of their progress.

To be decisive doesn’t mean you don’t feel fear. It means you face your fears anyway. You do what’s right, even when it’s difficult. You don’t give up, even when the odds seem insurmountable.

5. Strong Women Are Independent

You can tell a woman is strong by the way she carries herself. She’s independent and doesn’t need anyone to prop her up. She knows how to stand on her own and how to handle tough challenges.

She takes care of her own, always looking for ways to help impact the people around her, and will always stand by her principle because she knows she will get back up no matter the outcome.

But being a strong woman shouldn’t mean you’re a lone wolf. On the contrary, strong women know how to build relationships and surround themselves with people who positively impact them.

They also have a lot of empathy, which makes them great listeners and communicators

6. Strong Women Are Levelheaded

You know those women who are always in charge, always have a plan, and never seem to falter? That’s a strong woman right there.

Strong women are assertive, which means they’re not afraid to speak up for themselves, and they’re not afraid to take charge, but they’re not passive aggressive, either—they’ll tell you what they think and won’t sugarcoat it, but they do not let their emotions get the best of them. They don’t let their emotions get the best of them, and they think before taking any step.

They know that anger and rash decisions can lead to disaster, so they take the time to evaluate all their options before making a choice.

This is especially helpful in times of stress or chaos. When everyone else is freaking out, a strong woman stays calm and collected. She knows that panicking isn’t going to solve anything and that taking a step back to assess the situation is the best way to move forward.

7. Strong Women Are Empathetic

There are a lot of qualities that all strong women have in common, but one of the most important is empathy. A study published in 2018 shows that women can be empathic listeners that bring an array of essential qualities to the workplace. They’re able to put themselves in other people’s positions and understand why they are how they are.

They’re also good listeners and genuinely care about the people around them. Most strong women are usually found in managerial positions, and this is not referring only to an office title. It just means that they are usually some of the people others go to for help and support. You can be sure that they’ll do whatever it takes to help with a situation brought to them.

If you’re looking for a strong woman to emulate, look no further if you have a female best friend, sister, mom, or other woman of authority you admire. They’re likely to have all the qualities you’re looking for.
