How to prevent soreness on your penis after sex

by | Health & Wellness

If you have been dealing with soreness during sex, here is how to keep your penis from being sore every time you have sex.

1. Choose a well-fitting condom

Condoms play a very vital role during sex, and if you are able to choose a condom right, you will be able to feel better and come to truly enjoy sex.

A lot of guys tend to choose condoms that are not their size. I understand that this is because some barely know the condoms have sizes.

But you should know better now.

Head over to the pharmacy or store or wherever you get your condoms and look through the sizes of condoms out there.

Choose the perfect one for you, and make sure you put it on properly before you have sex. This is going to reduce friction as well as make the sex feel a lot better for you and your partner.

Too large condoms affect women too!

2. Insist that your partner washes their hands before stroking your dick

It is possible to get dust or sand on your palms in the moments before sex, and it’s possible to use these dusty or sandy hands to touch one’s penis.

Insist that your partner washes their hands. Join her too, and make sure your own hands feel clean too.

Clean hands do not only mean there will be less friction. Clean hands also mean there would be less chances that anyone has an infection.

Without dust and specks, one is at little to no risk of friction or scraping wounds on their penis. Sex is going to feel good.

3. Insist that your partner doesn’t use teeth during a blow job

A lot of partners give blow jobs while using their teeth.

This is a very bad practice, as it causes pain and reduces the amount of pleasure and sensitivity. It can even make sex last a lot shorter.

Many guys report that when they have partners who use teeth on their penises, it makes them want to get over with the sex sooner because the pain usually grows worse over time.

So teach your partner how to give a good blow job; have her read some of the articles, and you will notice such a big improvement in the quality of your sex as well as the amount of pleasure you feel.

Good blowjobs are amazing, and you deserve at least one good one in your life.

4. Make sure the foreplay is properly timed

As much as you don’t have to rush foreplay, as this is able to mess up the sex, making things feel less intense and intimate, you don’t want foreplay to last too long.

This is especially true if the foreplay involves oral sex or fellatio.

This is because the skin around the penis is quite soft, and rubbing the skin too long can cause some micro-injuries.

So make sure that the foreplay doesn’t last so long.

5. Talk to your partner about waxing or shaving options

Many guys who complain about being sore may want to talk to your partners about getting waxes done

Waxes provide such a smoother pelvic area. And a smoother pelvic area means there is going to be no hurt when one is having sex.

Hair is sharp, remember, and it is able to cause pain to the pelvic area.

If your partner insists that she’s not getting a wax, you could talk to her about getting a very clean shave.

Make sure that when she shaves, there are no areas left untouched, as areas left with sharp hairs could cause some problems and, pain and soreness.

6. Get a good shave as well

Sometimes, a good shave is all you need to make the soreness go away.

You may argue that the hair doesn’t grow on your penis, or at least the shaft of your penis.

This is not entirely true. There is almost always some hair on the shaft of your penis.

This hair is able to hurt you, especially if you have sex for long periods and especially if you thrust in quite deep.

So, get a shave and make sure that you don’t get injuries while shaving. Injuries while shaving are able to cause soreness as well, and this is something a lot of guys tend to do.

Use a good razor and shave in the direction of the grain.

7. Make sure sex is timed

You don’t need to have too long sex.

Long sex doesn’t always mean great sex. In fact, there are times when it can mean the opposite for both you and your woman.

You can have sex for a couple of minutes, but you shouldn’t be past 2 hours, or else it is going to really hurt you.

This is because, as I mentioned in the previous article on reasons your penis is sore after sex, your penile skin is not as firm as the skin on the other parts of your body.

They can easily break apart, and the epithelium can easily be pulled off.

So don’t have such long, but as much as you can, make sure you enjoy every minute of the sex you have.

8. Use lubricants and make sure you choose the right one

If you’re using a condom, you definitely should not use all the oil-based lubricants. They are quite dangerous to the condom and are able to erode the condom so that the condom breaks.

If you’re not using a condom, you can use oil based lubricant but I would say that it’s best if you stick to using water based lubricant as these lubricants are quite ergonomic and you could easily wash them off after sex.

9. Don’t have sex with your woman if she’s on a period—if doing so makes you sore

Some guys agree that having sex with their woman on her period is able to make them sore, and this is because blood is able to clot and blood is not like the regular wetness that a woman produces.

Clotted blood increases friction.

Sex is great without friction.
