How to Know When to Kiss a Girl

by | Love and Romance

May 27, 2022

It’s not unusual to occasionally wonder when is the right time to kiss a girl. Every guy, at one point, has thought about this, so you’re definitely not alone.

With kisses, timing is everything. Or, at least, most of everything. Bad timing and the best you get is a pretty bad kiss. The worse? Well, let’s not imagine a woman backing away, wiping her lips, and telling you never to try what just happened again. Good timing? Well, a great kiss is what you get. This is how to know when to kiss a girl:

1. You’ve been vibing for a while

Seldom does anyone just walk up to someone they don’t have a rapport with and initiate a kiss. We know it’s almost always bad timing to do this.

For the kiss to happen, you both must have been talking for a while, and there must have been some form of mutual connection. She must appear into you as you are into her.

2. She’s Comfortable With You

And not just now. For a while. It’s likely the right time to kiss her if she has been comfortable with you. And I mean comfortable enough to initiate body contact.

Comfortable enough to not flinch at the contact you initiate. The more comfortable a woman is with you, the closer the perfect time for the kiss.

3. You are in a private space

The fact that she’s agreed to follow you to a private space means she is already comfortable enough with you and is likely waiting for you to initiate a kiss.

It also means you both are not anxious or concerned about whether or not anyone is watching.

4. Her Body Language Doesn’t Spell Anxiety

If she’s anxious, then it’s most likely not the right time to initiate a kiss. The best time to kiss a girl is when she is calm and comfortable enough to be herself.

Watch her. Listen. How does she look? Does she act like someone who is scared, avoiding your eyes at the slightest contact?

5. She Flirts Back

If she flirts back, then you should know it’s an invite that you go ahead and initiate the kiss. She can flirt back in any way. But the most common is she mirroring your actions.

For example, she will lick her lips when you lick yours and will crane her neck when you crane yours. She will respond to your talks with just as flirtatious talks.

6. She Talks About a Kiss

If flirting with you doesn’t work, she is going to go a bit overboard with things. From nowhere, she is going to bring up a conversation about kisses.

She’ll mention the first time she had a kiss from a guy who looked just like you. Or she’ll just talk about a guy who never knew when it was right to kiss. She’s doing this to let you know she’s expecting it. This is when you should kiss her.

7. She Nods a Yes

If you notice at least four of the signs up there, you should go on to ask if you can kiss her. You know this is when to kiss her if she nods or says yes to you. Move-in for the kiss.

8. She Stares Directly into Your Eyes for a While

Did you just drop her off at her home after a date? Does she feel reluctant to leave you at her doorstep? If yes, she certainly wants you to kiss her. When a girl stares into your eyes and doesn’t look away, it can be a good thing and might mean that she is attracted to youMany studies have shown that direct gaze for a prolonged time between two individuals may mean that they like each other.

9. She Looks at You Seductively

When your girlfriend looks at you in a seductive way, she is probably daring you to make a move on her. She wants you to plant a kiss on her. This is when you go closer to her, and if she responds in kind, that is how you know it’s time to kiss her.

10. The Day of the Wedding

This is probably the best time for those whose religious beliefs dictate that they wait until they get to the altar or until after they get married. There is a special phrase the public official usually says at one point. It goes like this “you may now kiss the bride.” Then you know it’s time to kiss her.
