Feeling less sensitive is a common problem with many women. Some women, however, only seem to notice it when it has become a bit of an issue that needs to be addressed. In this article, I will be showing you how to be more sensitive down there every time you have sex:
1. Avoid harsh soaps
It is great to practice good hygiene. But one must be careful around the vagina and make sure they don’t take their hygiene a little too far that it begins to cause problems.
It is important for every woman to note that the vagina is a self-cleaning organ. This means your vagina doesn’t reallyneed your help to keep itself clean. Because there is such a big chance that you may be trying to help wrong.
Using soap is definitely helping wrong.
Soap can irritate the lining of your vaginal mucosa and make it less sensitive to touch. This makes it important for you to avoid washing with soap. Especially harsh soaps with antiseptic abilities.
2. Wear light underwear
Your underwear also has a part to play in your overall vaginal health.
It is recommended that women wear light underwear that is unable to trap heat and sweat. Your vagina should not feel too hot. Too much warmth can allow the growth of pathogens like Candida albicans, which is the etiologic agent of Candida albicans.
If you’re trying to feel more sensitive down there, you have to house your vagina in just the kind of environment it wants to be housed in. Wear light underwear, especially at night or during moments when you will be in a particular position for a long time.
I do not even recommend putting on panties at night. But you can do so if it works for you.

3. Don’t douche
It is sad that douching is still a thing. Well. Douching is really unhealthy if it is not done right. This is because there is always that risk that you can contaminate your vagina with foreign germs.
Remember that the vagina is sterile. It is this way for a reason. That sterile environment is needed to keep things running on there. If you mess with It, you are likely to mess with how sensitive you feel during sex.
4. Don’t put pearls in there
This is still on the subject of sensitivity. You naturally should not put anything inside your vagina. You risk bringing in things that shouldn’t have even been there in the first place.
There has been a lot of talk about yoni pearls and how they work wonders. Well. That is all talk because, in reality, things don’t really work that way.
Women who leave their vaginas alone tend to be typically more healthy than women who are all about sticking something up their vagina every now and then. You’re better off leaving your vagina to enjoy its peace.

5. Don’t shave all your hair
This is something most women learn a little too late. You don’t have to shave all the hair on your vagina. That is, leave the skin bare.
The hair around your vagina plays a very protective function: it protects you from the eroding nature of sweat and your vaginal fluids. Sweat, when left on a surface for very long, can erode that surface.
Sort of the way your vagina’s natural PH can erode your outer vulva.
Your vagina is a bit acidic. This is why you get some patches on your underwear from time to time. Do this: look for underwear you put on quite often. Especially one that is dull-colored. Maybe black or brown. Look at it closely. Does it have a patch? If yes, then you can see what your hair is protecting you from.
Shave neatly. Be sure that the vagina is properly trimmed and neat but never completely shaved.
6. Sleep without panties: Especially in the summer
Don’t sleep with panties on in hot weather. It is never a good idea. As I mentioned earlier, that hot environment can be the perfect spot for fungus to breed.
You want to make sure your vagina is not too warm.
What we are trying to avoid here is Candida albicans, which can make the vagina feel a bit sore and less sensitive.

7. Use lube
You may be struggling with sensitivity because you are not wet enough. More than half of the women who were interviewed for problems pertaining to sensitivity agree that they don’t feel wet enough.
All they had to do to fix this was get the right lube for them. You can begin to feel a lot more sensitive, too, if you get the right lube. Check out our article about the best lube to choose from.
8. Be sure to be turned on mentally
You may be struggling with sensitivity because you’re not so turned on. That is to say, you are not very invested in the sex.
You should be. You should bring yourself to experience what you are doing. This is going to make you feel a lot more sensitive.
It begins with bringing down mental blockades. We speak a lot about mental blockades because we know how damaging they can be. They can make a person come to despise sex and intimacy.
See sex as something that should be enjoyed. Something that you should enjoy.

9. Exercise more
Good exercise has its perks, even in the bedroom. Kegel exercises have their place and can help you come to achieve orgasms sooner.
Women who do Kegels tend to have more orgasms than women who don’t since orgasms in a woman are an active process that involves her pelvic floor muscles.
10. See a doctor
You should see a doctor if your sensitivity problems persist, even after trying all of this out. Especially if you tend to experience pain during sex. This can be a pointer that there is an underlying condition that needs fixing, like PID or endometriosis.
Summary
You should feel sensitive in bed when you bring your mind to enjoy the sex.
